Over Christmas break I was blessed with the opportunity to experience what is the joy of Greyhound travel. There are several benefits to this type of travel and if anyone is looking for any of these, I highly recommend it.
1) The buses don't always travel on main roads so you get to see a lot of beautiful scenery.
2) The people who travel Greyhound are very diverse: poor, multi-ethnic groups, young, very old, middle-aged, etc. I found most bus travelers to be very generous and open. They are pretty much everything but high-brow snobs. So, if you are looking to meet some characters this is the transportation choice for you!
3) You don't get anywhere fast with Greyhound so if you are looking for a leisurely trip with time to put your thoughts together choose the bus.
Here are a few pictures from my ride this week. We stopped in Tennessee and it was snowing very hard.
